For those of us who don't write a book's worth. ;)
A haiku:
The heart is removed
And shredded into ribbons
The body is crushed
-
That is both brilliant and intensely disturbing, CG. Well done. :P

Do Haiku's count for triumph points? :P

Looks like a poem and sounds like a poem. :)

I am unlikely to write much if any more poetry for a while. Anyway, here's an old english roses are red-type poem I wrote (I was a bit loose with the metre for it to properly be OE-alliterative-verse but that's really hard).
rōsan ond appellēaf, rēade ond hæwen bēoþ
gelīce wīcingum blōd, on bryme gespiled
sigle ic feohtan, mid mē scule þū cuman
Approximate translation:
Roses are red,
Violets are blue
Vikings' blood
Spilt on the sea too
I'm sailing to fight
with me you should come
(there wasn't a good way to make that last line fit the rhyme in modern english, oh well)

Wunderbar :D Welcome to Exilian, may your stay be long and prosperous. :)
If you want a rhyming rendering, maybe:
Roses are red,
Violets are blue
Vikings' blood
Spilt on the sea too
I'm sailing to fight
So come with me, you!
?
-
Republicans are red,
Democrats are blue,
Neither of them
Give a armadillo about you.
:)
-
Roses are red
Wololo!
Roses are blue.
-
...Simply amazing... love it...
-
Roses are red
Wololo!
Roses are blue.
I approve this poem.
