yesturday I spent the better part of the afternoon adjusting sheilds on a mounted Praetorian so it could be slung from the back to the arm, and the arm to the back, I saved my files and reloaded them....ARGGGGG, the sheilds are hardcoded onto the back by an attachment point that at this point I can not alter. When Loaded my files pleased with myself , to my dissapointment the sheilds were right back on the hands of the unit in question. A complete waste of time!

I am DHS, I enjoy Animating in my spare time, my interest are mainly animating units, I intend to support any old or new animations that I have created. I hqave some new mounted units and horse units that I would like to see implimented.

sure, but I assure you that it isn't that hard, once you do it once you'll always be able to do it

Actually if you have the time I have an upload on RomeMed2 page, I think it is called 60 frames per animation. I have cav uploads on there...the ones that I have are improved, but these ones still rock.

Hi,
All has not progressed as fast as I was originally hoping, My animations seem only to fit well with the smaller sheild that the Greeks and Macedonians use. I need to go back through and redo them for medium sheilds. So there will need to be 3 skeletons for the swords, one for small medium and large...The large are the Roman big square sheild. The one that is there already is adeqaute enough for a boring hide stab, hide, stab, hide line. The Romans weren't very creative when it came to individuality were they! But things are progressing and I am sure that it will all be worth it when it is done.

Hi,

I have finished my first version of the non square sheild(Roman) sword sequencing.  I have only tested the animations out on a few of the greek, macedonian, Seleucid units, they work great. that will pretty much be the end of the sword project for now, unless someone sees any problems with it. I have posted a download link on the main forum so you guy s can check them out. They are already packed, just cut and paste into your animation folder. Unfortunaly you still need to unpack the animation folder to be able to paste them.
I will start on the cav animations, These are almost dones as well. Unfortunatly I think that there are a few versions of these through Rome Medieval. The ones that I create for this mod will  be slightly different, so as to be able to differentate between them. If all goes well I should be started the spear sequencing next week.
