I have played Res Gestae before. The quality of unit models is quite good (although I don't know if they are historical accurate) but I am not very satisfied with the AOR system. It seems that the recruitment area is limited to the starting provinces of a faction. For example, playing as Macedon, I cannot recruit any phalanx units in Asia Minor. Personally I like an AOR system like EB, which has some reasonable possibilities. The one in RTR is also great, as factional units could be recruited after a long period of assimilation. I think it strike the balance between gameplay and reality.

After extracting the files in 0.6.rar to my RTW folder, I found that the only infantry that could be recruited by Egypt is Nubian Spearmen. Did I do something wrong? Or other units are being removed as they are ahistorical?

Were there any specifics to this claim? If so, I'd like to know because I'd hate to have a buggy mod.

And in XGM Readme it said 'activating loyalty can cause problems', but it seems that there is still no concrete evidence...

Concerning the feature of loyalty in 0.8, I have heard that in XGM it may increase the chance of CTD. Maybe this can be made as an optional feature?
