Seems to have timed out again.

In relation to Discord, I believe the Widget either shows you the number of people online (with a button to join the Discord server) or to show you which users are online (as well as rank) if you wanted to give a more public view.


In regards to the Chatbox, I would have assumed that itself would have been a security risk as although I have not dabbled in SMF for quite some time, if I recall it is likely a third-party addon which like something like Wordpress would need to be constantly updated, or hopefully not had the addon hijacked / sold on.


Edit: Noting that it appears to be using https://custom.simplemachines.org/index.php?mod=1295 that's nearly 5 years of no updates on the free version.

By that, you mean the Discord widget (https://blog.discord.com/add-the-discord-widget-to-your-site-d45ffcd718c6) right?

Star Wars the Old Republic is my guilty MMORPG

Tempted by Runescape but last time I went on the lack of F2P stuff kinda ruined it

I think I still have a good amount of Star Wars credits in TOR.

I've found myself recently watching one or two Runescape players and their videos of late.

How I wish there was more support for Hardware Acceleration in Virtual Machines so that 9x games would be supported.

The essential question is what we want the app to do. The forums of the site run on Single Machines, as Marcus says, so that's a whole package which we haven't programmed ourselves and so might be hard to appify. There is a non-free app for SMF at the moment though:

Essentially if we made an Exilian app then its basis would need to be a free version of this, which we could then expand to allow browsing the front-end site as well.

It would have to be a plugin like Tapatalk (which is how it operates).
