« on: November 02, 2009, 12:56:05 PM »
Just thought i would let you guys know , im not posting any updates because to be honest i dont wanna have to keep redoing my post's and stuff like that. So there will be one big update , some play testing , then maybe some fixes , then i will release it. Sorry for making you guys wait , (if anyone actually is haha) , but believe me when i say its gonna be worth it.

BUT im not gonna start working on this update , until i finish this game i just got (darkest of days) , which seems to be taking up most of my time. So thanks for any followers or anything. I do appreciate it.

Do you want a subforum for this mod? We'd be happy to provide one.
Thats an awesome offer , but honestly i wouldnt wanna make a sub forum right now without having some of my own stuff in yet. In the future , if the offer is still out there , then i would be more than happy to oblige , but as of right now i dont want people thinking im half assing this and just using other peoples stuff. But thanks tho man , appreciate the offer

Any news on this?
I've been working a lot on putting new features in. I don't it to feel like native , i want to give it a new feeling to it. So I've been playing around with different codes , how battles work , reinforcements , fighting ect.

So besides that , I've also been looking into more historical accuracy.

But im kinda at a dead end with the map , no matter what i do it will not change the map. It sucks.

M&B Mods - The Explorer's Society / Problem with the map editor?

Put simply, use the ModuleSystem for moving the parties into place. Otherwise you'll overwrite your work every time you build the module.
Is there a way on the map to get the (X,Y) position for places?

Great looking mod. Can't wait to try it out!

FYI: The Custom Commander feature was done by rubik.
Thanks a lot , that saved me time trying to search him up ha.

Yeah before i release a beta , i gotta :
1) Make the Rhodoks a factioc
3) Change the particle system
4)Balance the rifles
5) Rid of all the native items
6) Maybe add some more sounds , probably some war cries and stuff like that.

Good work! This looks like it's coming along really well...

What I'd do with the Rhodoks would be to have two Native American factions, as different tribes supported and switched between the Brits and Americans.
Ha thanks man. That sounds like a good idea. I'm thinking about the Apaches and Iroquois

Bethesda Entertainment / What is Better?

I think that Morrowind should be on the poll , being the best game from Bethesda , but if the poll was only about Oblivion and Fallout 3 , then i apologize hah.

Hey there! This mod , well to be honest i wasn't gonna make it public , it started as just a personal project for myself. But then i thought "well there is probably someone else out there who would want to play it" , so with that , i started working on it more and I'm gonna release it.

(WILL NOT RELEASE ALPHA UNTIL I GET ALL THE CREDITS AND PERMISSIONS FOR VARIOUS THINGS)
INFO:
This mod is set in the American Revolution years , it is based around musket and bayonet combat. The game plays rather well right now , it is stable and rather fun.

WHAT TO EXPECT SO FAR:
Aside from all the features , this is pretty much it. I haven't made the map , and i dont have the towns set to the right owners yet , and there are still some various sounds. But some key features so far are as follows :

*NEW SOUNDS
*NEW WEAPON MODELS AND GUNS
*NEW TROOP TREES
*NEW UNIFORMS AND OUT FITS
*NEW ENEMIES
*NEW MAP ICONS
*NEW FEATURES (listed)
*MUCH HARDER EXPERIENCE
*NEW FONT AND COLOR

TO DO:
New map
Add the rest of my features
balance some of the troop trees
add new items
cannons!
add new shops.
add faction for the rhodocks
more...

Factions:
Kingdom of Britain
Americans
France
Indians
rhodocks (just ignore them , still gotta add a faction for them)

FEATURES:
In this mod I've included multiple features from various sources around the community , not all features (mine) are implanted yet , so far there are just the open source ones.

Prisoner Interaction:
Ever wanted to let your prisoners go? Maybe execture them? Recruit them? even to lords? well now you can! just talk to them like any other soldier , rather cool
(credit Mordachai and leprechaun)

Custom Commander:
Take control of one of your companions before a battle , useful if your hero is low on health and you don't want to auto resolve.
(credit rubik)

Custom Troops:
Ever wanted to choose your troops gear? Well now you can , when you recruit from a village use the "recruit as personal recruit" button and you can , WARNING: the gear and troop names are still vanilla mount and blade , not updated yet.
(credit fisheye)

Companion Recruiters:
Hate having to go around to get more troops? Well get a companion , talk to him , ask him a qeuestion then choose the "get me some recruits" option. WARNING: The troops names are still vanilla, but they are updated troops.
(credit maverickjones)

New Terrain:
Got kinda bored of the old terrain , so used this guys new good ones. Look rather nice.
(credit punkt)

Moral and Tactics:
Your enemies and troops will lose moral and route after a certain amount of kills to their side , balance it out by getting kills. Still putting in the formations.
(credit mirathei )

OSP 18th centuary uniorms:
I used some of the uniforms in this pack.
(credit....need to find who made this one)

OSP Firearms :
Used a pistol model and musket model from this , thanks!
(credit...same as above)

more info to come....

M&B Mods - The Explorer's Society / Problem with the map editor?
« on: October 18, 2009, 02:40:01 AM »
So like , im trying to make a new map of the origanal 13 colonies of america , and like when i finish moving all the parties and changing the terrain and map , ill save and copy the map.txt file from native , then copy it to my mod's module folder. But when i try it in game , it only changes the terrain and map but leaves all the parties (towns , villages , castles ect.) in the same native spot. Help please? Thanks in advance
