Anyone got a good campaign to show?

It'd be really useful to see some so we knwo which AI factions are doing well and which are damp squibs for some reason.

Discussion and Debate - The Philosopher's Plaza / Copyright?
« on: December 22, 2010, 04:32:34 PM »
I was talking to an artist yesterday who believed that Copyright was altogether a wholly outdated idea that would end up becoming obsolete as the younger generation could copy & access stuff for free so much more easily.

What do y'all think of that? Does copyright have a future?

I've decided to split your posts in the overview. Not because you're in trouble, I just decided I wanted the overview to be clean of posts. - Calisthenis of Green Day.

No Etruscan faction planned?

Looks great, anyhow. Good work!  :)

Mountain Dwarfs

So far I've got some centaurs and Dwarfs done for Narnia, more to come!

I was discussing these with a friend recently, since the third one's coming out soon.

Who's seen them, and what did you think of the two so far?

This is my new physics particle interaction calculator; for any given interaction between up to three particles on either side, it will tell you whether the reaction works by checking (so far) lepton numbers in two branches, baryon number, and electromagnetic charge. :)

There are 23 different particles to choose from, too!

Warhammer; Total War / CAMPAIGN RELEASE
« on: December 02, 2010, 02:40:19 PM »
And here it is, laydeez and jellyspoons. Warhammer Total War, in beta campaign mode.

THIS IS NOT COMPLETE. IT IS NOT NECCESSARILY STABLE.

On the other hand, big new building trees, all your favourite factions, and a lovely big map of the Warhammer World are most definitely there.

So have fun! The release is a RAR file, with readme instructions included.

I'm keen to create as many DL mirrors as possible, so if anyone else can create any that'd be awesome.

Arts, Crafts, Music & Drama - The Artisans' Guilds / Thoughts on this?

P.S. Not going to be doing the acting, in case anyone was hoping for a spectacle
P.P.S. Actually my other duettist isn't even straight...

John Boehner looks set to become Speaker after hammering Nancy Pelosi's Democrats across the country. However, the GOP failed to take several critical senate seats despite the biggest spending non-presidential campaign EVER in California and a very tight race against Senate leader Harry Reid in Nevada, so the Dems hold the Senate by a fraction.

This unusual spilt of power could have a lot of consequences - it will certainly slow Obama's legislative agenda and may roll parts of it back, but the GOP also face internal dissent between the main party and the Tea Party movement on the fiscally hardline right.

General Chatter - The Boozer / The rent...
« on: October 30, 2010, 10:43:49 AM »
...is it, or is it not, too damn high?

This is the story of Vietnam veteran, karate expert, epically facially haired wannabe politician, and all-round nutter Jimmy Macmillan who's running for Governor of New York state with the "The Rent is 2 Damn High" party. He apparently has superhuman hearing, too. Policies include support for gay marriage (or even shoe marriage), bulldozing a bunch of mountains in upstate NY to create new land for job creation, and - guess what - lowering rents.

It's less his policies, more the fact that someone who looks like they could once have beaten Chuck Norris in a cage fight is sitting up there getting airtime for this stuff.

Post a fact you bet we all didn't know, attempting to get as many as possible!

1. You can have a working typewriter with only 4 keys (slider to select 1 of 26 places, button for the alphabet option in each place, button for a second number/punctuation charset, button for space).

Discussion and Debate - The Philosopher's Plaza / University Funding
« on: October 16, 2010, 12:48:26 PM »
University funds from government in the UK are about to be cut to levels similar to those in Chile, losing 4.2 billion pounds of teaching and research funding. This means that fees will go up so much that graduates may leave Uni with debts of
