Trade is now much better; I've basically given each province 1 resource which isn't much but is enough to get some trade running at least. Took a long time though.

Balance issues for units are next step I think.

Unrest isn't something I've done anything to at all; I'll give some factions bigger happiness & law boost options to counteract it more easily. The temples should go up to T5, but on the building browser will only show to T3 as you can build 3/4/5 at the same city level. Does the L4 show up after you built L3?

Walking woods/landmines/carpets are admittedly problematic but I find them quite amusing and they add some interesting tactical options that one wouldn't get otherwise. No idea why generals are getting excess traits.

Thankyou all for the fantastic work so far, I've started on fixing some of the key problems and will respond to more points tomorrow. Do keep reports/tests coming in as much as you all can, it's all really useful.  :)

There won't be railroads of any significant distance, though an early form of steam train is in use in some areas for haulage in individual mine facilities.

Generally carriage/horse is the main form of transport by road, a few steam-carriages have been constructed but these are only for the very wealthy/very great engineers/very insane. Primitive steam tanks, known as Trammechs, are in regular use. Boat transport is extremely important - safer than the road and often the only good method of transferring large amounts of heavy goods.

I'm quite amenable to this if we can find a low-work way of doing it that I'm not responsible for.  :P

I'll try and shift the rest onto Exilian. I consider it quite badly written compared to things I've spent a decent amount of time on, but glad you're enjoying it - let me know what you think of the world and setting in particular and do ask any questions that spring to mind.  :)

Magic - essentially this comes in two linked forms, illusion and summoning. So magic can't directly manipulate the physical world, it's essentially a form of communicating with the "astral" - a sort of secondary universe that brushes up close to our own and supplies a lot of the necessaries for conciousness. Summoning basically opens/finds a hole between the universes big enough for some raw conciousness to get through and imbue physical forms with a thinking mind for a time. Illusion uses the astral universe as a shortcut straight into someone else's (or lots of other people's) head or heads, allowing the manipulation of their thought processes.

Hovercraft are probably a no, submarine yes but exceptionally rare, a decent submarine would be considered cutting edge military/spy hardware.

Dragons... I'm saying nothing yet.  :P

I think Khan's counts as a puzzle more than a traditional riddle...

Right, I'll do one.

My tail is long, my shell is strong
I cannot see, nor hear a sound
I only sense a grasping hand
And the egg that I nestle upon the ground.
