Is it now flat out impossible for children to receive treatment with puberty blockers then? I haven't followed anything in the news at all for a while but for some reason I was under the impression that you could still receive the treatment but there would be additional administrative/legal hoops to jump through first.
I can understand some concern about children starting the transition whilst they're still impressionable or whatnot, especially with the changing trends in gender dysphoria in the last decade but surely the clinicians treating these children should mostly be able to help them identify whether or not the treatments are right for them.
Unfortunately I suspect transgender rights are going to be used as a political pawn for quite a while yet, with the real political actors not actually caring very much about the wellbeing of anyone affected by it.

I'd be interested but it's very possible I'd completely forget about it until a week after it's happened.

Yay :) Are you getting the Exilian emails these days?
Yeah I'm pretty sure I do. I just tend to ignore most emails because they pop up on my phone and I tell them to go away immediately because I don't like to read emails on my phone.

Books are good, books are always good.

Sup peeps, we're back in a second lockdown and I'm really getting bored this time. Life was pretty weird for me during the first one so I didn't really notice it too much, but now it would getting back to something vaguely normalish if it weren't for the lockdown. I work monday to friday and I have absolutely nothing work related to do when I'm not at work, I'm not a student atm either. By the time I've finished work and walked the dog it's usually dark so I don't mind watching stuff on the youtube in the evenings or reading/audiobooking but I really don't know what to do with myself on the weekends. Especially when the weather sucks.
What have you folks been doing to stay sane?

Which part of the medieval period are you basing this setting on? I don't know much about medieval metalworking but I imagine the process would look rather different in the early middle ages compared to the late middle ages, mostly due to technological change and increasing knowledge of metallurgy but also increased trade/communication and cultural shifts. Once you have established centres of industry your bladesmith might be content to order a steel blank/ingot from a trusted forge either locally or from far off (although forgeries were a thing) and just go through the work of shaping the blade, although I'm not sure at what point a smith would be able to reliable produce a "good" standard of steel or quality test the steel before shaping it.

Is it a completely crazy idea that anyone who earns less than a certain threshold should be compensated their full wages if furloughed or forced to self isolate? Is it such an insanely complex twist? I get that most people are spending less money whilst in lockdown, but if your income is normally close to your basic living costs then even losing 20% of your wages can fug you sideways.

It's nice to see Trump reacting to the election loss with his characteristic grace and humility.

Silver wolf if you want to gain muscle mass then that plan wont work too well, although its not a bad starting point. Usually you'd want to be lifting wieghts that are just heavy enough for you to do 3 or 4 sets of 8 to 12 reps but if you havent done this before its best to work at lower reps for a while to strengthen your ligaments so you dont injure yourself. And you might want to add pullups to your list.

Got to sit my QCS exam today. Similar to your GCSE exams over in England except the questions are probably easier down here
Unlikely, GCSEs are a piece of piss. My penis could probably get an A in most exams.
Well at least i beat Jubal at biology, true he doesnt do biology but i feel that 95% isnt too shabby.
