General Chatter - The Boozer / Re: CARS!
« on: November 20, 2015, 04:22:22 PM »
I drive a 15-y/o gold/beige Hyundai Accent. It's the oldest old man car I have ever seen. But hey, it's cheap and reliable.

I really want to pass my motorbike test(s) though. That'd be awesome.

I'll share it in my circles and see what I can do - it looks pretty good! I definitely like the idea of 'social stealth'.

Well this looks fun.

(Sorry I just realised that sounded really sarcastic? I didn't mean it to. It DOES look like fun!)

I'll check it out when I'm not on my way to work :)

Skills & Resources Offered / Games Designer and Software Engineer
« on: October 13, 2015, 01:49:01 PM »
Hello,

I'm Liz(ard) and have been running my own games studio for a little while, mostly intervening in other projects when advice has been needed. I offer paid services, priced per project and with your budget in mind, on games design (game design documents, business analysis, marketing strategies, etc) and on software engineering for games (programming and program design, usually in Unity 3D or using web-based technologies).

I also offer free advice and programming services towards not-for-profit projects, with my specific interests lying towards education projects.

Look forwards to hearing from you!

Then make that your NaNo project! Lots of people 'rebel' by bringing previously started works. I've done it in the past, but for me nothing beats the thrill of being awake at three in the morning because you can't think of any more decent plot points :D

(and don't worry, I fail most years)

1st-30th of November, fifty-thousand words of original* fiction.

So it's almost only a month to go until NaNoWriMo, and I was wondering if any Exilianites plan to partake? Because we should definitely hold writing challenges/virtual write-ins/all add each other as NaNo buddies.

Anyone already know what they're going to write? Anyone pantsing?

Welcome to Exilian :3

As Jubal said, jump right in. I want to make some kind of shallow water metaphor, but I don't think it'd reflect as well on us as I'd hope!

Welcome to Exilian!

I possibly spoke to you at Exilicon? I was with The Cyril Project (I'm Liz, if you couldn't guess from the username).

Welcome, fellow affiliate!

72
Looks super interesting, I'll signal boost to some friends who might be interested :)

Hello and welcome! Glad you made it to Exilicon and that you've found us here! Feel free to get posting, both about your own projects and on other people's, and in the nonsense forums (spoiler alert: they're pretty much all nonsense forums :P)

So I feel I should have something to say about this, being an affiliate and all, but I don't really know how to improve the current system D: I guess we could try and drive more people to it, so that anyone with some kind of creative merit/product can become an affiliate? And some kind of shout-out system, so that any major developments are announced to drive people towards the affiliates' work? If that's possible?

I don't know, I'll think about it :P

The 'Blogging Age' does make them a little obsolete, but there are people out there who still make them (as well as publish the PDF versions online).

We should definitely have a stand at the next Exilicon. This one is a bit short-notice :P
