The first Guns, Swords, and Steam preview is finally upon us after many years of waiting! First up, we visit the city of Orendorf, a magnificient hive of corruption, scum, villainy, idealism, and just about everything else you'd want to find in a city - except maybe a quiet life! Accompanied by art from the magnificent Hannah Milburn and with explanation and notes from the designer, the preview is the first chance for fans and those wanting to contribute to have their say and input on the developing background of the game world!

Karl Von Hutten (who I imagine a rather exasperated outlook on life) is based on Ulrich Von Hutten, a sixteenth century German knight who struggled with similarly high minded ideals and equally abject failure. There's also a lot of don Quixote in there: he's one of the more powerful men in Orendorf, and is continually trying to countenance the restoration of the Ostern League, once practically the most powerful union of states in the world and long since dissolved in bitterness and infighting....
