Just a few ideas

Here's just a few ideas which could improve this part of our forum...
(Please feel free to post your own ideas... This part of Exilian could really use some love.)

1. Painting & Converting competitions
Why : Well competition can be a good thing...
           It can also lead to improved activity and can be a good way to learn a few interesting painting tricks from other people.



2. Painting & Converting tutorials
Why : If you're good at something you can teach others do it too... It'll make you feel better too because you've helped somebody. 



3. "What have you painted/converted to day" thread
Why : #3 is the most important part... This thread would be a place in which you could post WIP pictures of your models or other interesting projects.



4. Army lists, fluff and battle reports
Why : It's creative and interesting.


5. Gallery
Why : It would be nice to have a place in which we could post pictures of our armies. It's one of the most important aspects of this hobby after all.

but doing it only on exilian will mean we'll get some more 'experienced' hobbyists than on Call to Arms

I guess the question is whether we should re-link ourselves to CtA or try and build this section up... my suspicion is that CtA would be the better option, 2/3 of the editors and another of the writers are Exilian staff already and it has a huge potential advantage in that there are reasons for other tabletop gamers to go there. But that be just me and I'm probably intensely biased.

I think it would probably be better if we/you still built this part of the site up a little more even if we were linked to Cta. it would be more convenient to some people, i think. But these are just my thoughts so yeah, whatevers cool with you.

I honestly agree with Death Nade here.

We should probably re-link with CtA seeing as, well Jubal is sorta more or less responsible for both.  But I think that Exilian's Warhammer section could certainly use development.

That's fine then, I'll get the link up and all. I really can't be responsible for organising any of the above though, I've got way too much on my plate. I may eneter the competitions if & when they appear though.
