Hey guys, I just need a small favour if you don't mind. I need to find some interesting animals for an RPG. We have decided to instead of just using normal animals add some really cool prehistoric ones as well.

For an example, one of the animals chosen is the Boarcroc
Spoiler

Another animal now part of the RPG is Thylacoleo carnifex. It was the largest carnivorous Australian mammal known, may have hunted other Pleistocene megafauna like the giant Diprotodon.  It may have been an ambush predator or scavenger, and had enormous slicing cheek teeth, large stabbing incisor teeth (replacements for the canine teeth of other carnivorous mammals) and a huge thumb claw that may have been used to disembowel its prey. It also had the most powerful bite of any mammal species - living or extinct. Many times stronger than a Hyena. Pretty cool hey :D

Spoiler

So if anyone has any other awesome ancient animal to suggest, it would be very helpful :D

Thanks, :)

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Well, you could google for some creations from PC game "Impossible creatures". I know it's not prehistoric but it's full of crazy stuf. I remember combining eagle and sperm whale(flying whale ftw) and bear with turtle cause heavy armored bears rock.

I remember playing that game. It was pretty damned awesome, it's just a pity it wasn't more moddable.

The idea behind it was pretty cool, although the storyline let it down a bit. I'd still like to see it remade though. :P
