Sounds interesting.

I'll have to read that.

Really interesting, I don't know enough about entropy levels to have a good grasp of the science though. :/

Well you should have taken chemistry for two years instead of just one then you droupout ;p . Because of course I definitely know enough about entropy to make complete sense of that article and what it implies.

Silver Wolf

Only one year of chemistry? Seriously guys?

In these part we take chemistry classes during all 4 years of high school.

He's talking about A Levels, I've studied more than a year's worth of Chemistry in my life in total.  :P

So basically we do a load of subjects for most of high school, then our last two years of high school we only do 3 or 4 subjects.

In my second last year I did Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Further Maths, History, and General Studies, in my last year I dropped Chemistry so I could focus on the other ones.

So that's how your systems works. It sounds really interesting.
I like the focus. Makes you choose something and stick with that.

Our system is a bit dull. You more or less do all the subject, all the time. That's about 14 of them. Some of them (like psychology, logic, Latin, sociology, philosophy, Greek in classical schools) last only 1-2 years, and then get replaced by another subject.
In most schools you also have a choice to lose some subjects (but this mostly means having less classes in a week) in favor of maths and physics or languages.

How long is compulsory education for you? We have school until 16 and then if you continue in education there's usually two years of college/6th form and then uni if you so wish.
Germany has a pretty armadilloty sounding education system.

Silver Wolf

8 years of elementary school + 3 or 4 years of high school. 3 years for craft and industrial high schools, 4 years for medical and economical schools and gymnasiums (that's where Ash and I went).
College is optional.

German system is a bit different, iirc.
