In what is bordering on an annual tradition I ran a couple of test games with Tar-Palantir of this parish!

First we did the scenario "The Argo" where we had to go find various bits to create the Argo. We did get the wood, and could maybe have built the prow, but died trying to close off some spawning lairs. We got a bit worn down and flattened - we'd have been a bit more OK if there'd been some available healing but we didn't have any options for that and the Hecate spawn lairs are pretty rough especially when they keep producing lampades.

Our second scenario was "The World Above", which features a collapsing rooms mechanic. This went badly because basically we ran into some excessively big enemies too fast and got absolutely pulped.

My general theory at the moment is that the game needs a bit of a boost for low counts of players, probably giving them NPCs, and definitely needs a rules overhaul for player death, which I'm working on today. Both games were still good fun despite us getting flattened, which I think is definitely part of what Hetairos is aiming for!
