Around the outer parts of the town. The houses that aren't completely connected to it.

He is Jubal the modder, Jubal the wayfarer, Jubal the admin. And he has come to me now, at the turning of the tide.

I decide to search for this noise because i have a hunch its about the blessing i have previously received.

Captain Carthage

Roused by this injustice I invite him to my home.

rather bored at this point I continue to chop wood, whilst keeping an ear on alert for anything interesting

DN, Khan: You both head to the outside of town. There's definitely a brassy sound, possibly some sort of bugle, audible in the distance down the valley. It's getting progressively louder, and people are coming out of their houses due to the disturbance. There's also a thumping noise - possibly hooves.

NA: "Thankyou for your invitation, good sir, but I would be afraid to endanger you any more by my presence..." The sound at this point becomes audible in the centre of the little township, and the priest's head flicks from side to side. "That said, if those are soldiers, I might find myself grateful for a hiding place."

DD: You cut some wood.
You gain 2xp.  :P

Cuddly Khan

I temperately ignore the noise and continue doing errands.

I walk briskly to the side of the road and continue searching, as i want to be able to hide in the brushes if there is trouble ahead.

Captain Carthage

"Come then, let us be swift."

Your awfully active Khan, what with your errands and all :)

Khan: you head around asking people if they have any errands that need running. Most of them are either out or more concerned with the rapidly approaching noise, though, and you can't find anyone who needs anything doing.

DD: You cut some wood. Life is fun.

DN: You catch sight of around five or six horsemen, just coming into view out of the woods. Kjalt is on a flattish hilltop, so they're coming uphill from the bottom of a small dry valley to the south, along the road.

NA: You and the man both head towards your house. He's looking increasingly nervous as people in the square start chattering excitedly and someone runs up the hill shouting "Cavalry! Soldiers are coming!".

Cuddly Khan

Seeing there are no errands to do, I decide to head back home.

I spy on the group of Horseman trying to overhear any snippets of conversation or hints of where they came from.

Gen_Glory

do I cut wood for a company or myself? or do i chop it to then sell for myself?
