Went and saw a play today called "Democracy" about the rise and fall of a West German chancellor called Willy Brandt. Really, really interesting, many amusing insights into government and politics as well as some fantastic character depth and interesting cold war history and spying.

Sounds pretty nice! All the plays I've heard of here are like opera, ballet and classical pieces, but yours really sounds like something different! Was it made by a professional troupe, or was it like a school group?

To be honest, I've never liked plays for the reason I mentioned before

I did, it was fantastic but then I was tired and went to bed.

The chimneys rising out of the ground was my favourite part.

Do you have the blu-ray extended box set?

Ah only DVD I'm afraid. I have no blu-ray player.

Still, Extended has to count for something though and I have The Hunt for Gollum and Born of Hope burnt onto discs.

Gollum is pretty good, but takes itself way too seriously. Born of Hope is just an abomination.

My favorite part of Gollum is at time-marker 6:37 when you see a car go by in the background. xD
