KSM, unbelievably, you were completely right.
Just today, here's what happened. I had a meeting at 2pm this afternoon in Logan Central which is a good three quarter of an hour drive from my place. After that I had to get to work at 4pm at Morningside which is an hour's drive from Logan. After that I needed to head back to Park Ridge to pick up Ladyhawk for our date tonight. The movie was at 7:15 so I had to get to Ladyhawk's at about 6pm to pick her up.
I left home at about 12:45pm and got to Logan at about 1:15 because the traffic turned out pretty good and I didn't have to line up at the ATM. So I waited until 2pm for my meeting to start, which went well and finished at about 3:04pm. Bugger I thought, cause I have work at 4pm and it'll take an hour to get there. So I called the cab and waited for about twenty minutes before he arrived.
I got in and he was a very nice man. I got the lift over to Morningside and managed to get there at 3:56pm. To top it all off he said I was the best chat he'd had in ages and didn't charge me for the $4 toll we went through. I thanked him, got inside the tennis centre to coach and found I got there just seconds before my boss did. So not only was I not late but I was even commended for my punctuality.
Which I assure you is the first time that's ever happened in my life. Ever.
I coached for an hour and ten minutes in the end because I forgot to look at the watch and the kids were having fun. I only stopped because I saw their rather irate mothers. So at 5:12pm I was on my way to pick up Ladyhawk for our dinner and a movie date. Somehow, while the drive would usually take almost an hour, I managed to get there in about 40 minutes meaning we left LH's at about 6pm because I needed to change out of my tennis clothes.
We were therefore perfectly on time for dinner and the 7:15 movie.
Amazingly, you were right, despite the fact I didn't have the Yellow Cab number on me when I had to ring and had to turn on a computer at the radio station to look it up.
So, bloody well done!
