No I don't mind. Shall I post some more of my paintings over here too?
Yes yes and thrice yes!

Been slowly working on spicing up my fireplace over the past couple months...

Started by removing the ugly seam covers on the drywall so that I had a flat surface. Unfortunately this house has them all over. :(
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Sketched on some random stone shapes and began painting them in, again at random so to evenly distribute similar colors.

Stones complete.

Filling in the mortar joints.

More to come...

Thanks, gents. Just something for fun. Best part about these stones is if they look crap at the end or I get tired of them just slap on some more paint and - poof - gone.

Complete! Final touches were a small bit of shadow under each stone and obviously the gun rack. The stones look a little fuzzy in the picture because I didn't have enough light.

I'm just imagining that eventually you will be able to trust nothing in your house - everything might be painted and you won't know until you check :P

It's coming true, here's the dining room walls that I painted as an old brick/plaster wall.

I've been storming this idea for some time now...

As you can see here this side of my house is really plain and boring. This is essentially the "side door" but with the way the house is situated this is the first thing that people see when they pull up the driveway. The real front of the house has windows with fake shutter things and so I decided to a similar window setup to the plain side - without cutting any holes in the side of the house.

I had a solid pane of glass from an old storm door laying around to use as the base. First thing was to make a frame for it...

Then add in the little bits to make the separate panes. Here is the completed piece, just need to paint it white...

Now to assemble the outer frame, glass, and a couple longer pieces on the back to which I will attach shutters, which I'll make, and then fasten the whole thing as one piece to the house. The sneaky bit was painting the back of the glass black...

Now I need to acquire some boards and make the shutters.
I'd be more apathetic if I weren't so lethargic.
