All excellent points.

I think using the phrase, "we're safe now" or words to that effect is probably another.

Oh look, it's a dark and creepy house in the middle of nowhere with one flickering light in the window! It's a full moon and there's a storm. Let us (group of young people containing at least one couple) go up to the house and knock on the heavy rusty knocker! There is no way this can end badly!

Also on the banned phrases list:
"I'm looking forward to retiring when this is over"
"What could possibly go wrong?"
"Don't be silly, it's harmless"
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

Also keep your phone charged, probably the 3rd most likely cause of death in a horror movie is having to use some crazy dudes phone.

Plus, keep away from hillbillies.

Rofl Jubal! xD

1st, breaking down on an Alabaman highway near a farm in the middle of nowhere.
2nd, running over a man on a dark road, subsequently checking if he's actually dead, finding out he's still alive and driving off into the next town, hoping that he won't seek vengeance.

Unless we're talking about Silent Hill.
And that's actually ironic.

Oh, horror movies... :P

Hiding in the wardrobe when a killer is chasing you around your house. I don't remember which film I saw it in, but cornering yourself seems like a terrible idea (especially, as is typical with certain films, if you are the pretty blonde female character. :P )

Couples having... ahem... an intimate encounter... at any point in a horror movie, usually in a car somewhere, tend to end up dead as well.
