Rampage it is then! (possible doom and destruction)

Right-o! I forgot about this. How's it going, Will? :)

Paramythion

This looks quite interesting. I have done the migration thing before, but never with the Thracians. I would love to do a turn with this, if possible, whenever everyone else has had a shot. Although I don't normally play at VH/VH, so I can't promise my rule won't end in burning cities and the weeping of Thracian widows and orphans.

Sincerely,
                Lord Blaiddmor

Will

OK I've done my ten years. Bloody battles every turn.

Spoiler

Too many battles etc to put everything in a historical timeline. Chaos. Going to have to summarise it.

Three main areas of interest: Antioch the most Northern city. The Eastern cities doing battle with Egypt. And then Western/Nile territory.

Spent the first 7 years with a Pontic army besieging Antioch every turn. Withstood 4 assaults before finally capitulating under the strain. No chance to recruit or station troops in the city because it was under constant siege. Two gallant generals met their demise in the final assault. The Pontic army after taking Antioch Immediately swept down in the same turn and assaulted Damascus and took it without delay.

In the middle empire there was great toing and froing. In 210 BC Sidon was besieged with the largest Thracian army coming up from the south by Jerusalem to attempt to snatch it against a minimal Egpytian garrison. The seiging of Jerusalem triggered Egpyt to spring into action and lift the siege of Sidon and send the army down to defend the city. An additional Egpytian horde of 2000 men came in from the East.

The Thracian commander was bunkered up in a fort surrounded by three armies. Reinforcements from the Nile cities battled off one of the Egyptian forces to relieve the Thracian general. Multiple battles ensued culminating in victory for Thrace when the garrison at Sidon left the city and marched south to pile the pressure on Jerusalem. Jerusalem was taken in about 206BC and the victorious army then went on to capture Bostra in 201BC.

Whilst war was being fought against Egpyt and Pontus, in around 204BC, the Scipii sent an army in from the West and besieged Memphis. After a few turns the army tried to capture the city but was turned away by the Thracian defenders. After the Roman threat had been dealt with sufficiently an army was put together to head East towards Petra, still owned by the Egpytians.

There concludes the next ten years of the Thracian Empire. Ground lost to Pontus in the North, minor gains against the Egpytians in the East.

Note to the next person: You are surrounded, good luck. XD Egyptian faction leader with a full stack is on the move, as well as the Pontic war machine of death, and don't forget the Romans who are likely to send another army our way.

To quote Captain Picard: "Nicely done." I think given the state of the Empire you did very well. :) Still going to be tough for whoever is next though. :P

Who's next then? I'm so confused...

I'm certainly OK with giving Lord Blaiddmor a shot if everyone else is, and has had their most recent turn? Even if someone else (Saw) is itching for a turn I say the more the merrier. :)

Clockwork

It'd be my turn however I'm more than happy to let Blaiddmor have a go.
Once you realize what a joke everything is, being the Comedian is the only thing that makes sense.

If you take your turn and then Blaiddmor goes after you it works best because you are the last person before it goes back to the start again I think. Send me your email or I can give it to Jubal for him to pass it to you like last time again I don't mind.

comrade_general

Yes go ahead and take your turn, Rob. :)
