Hosting problems now appear to be fully sorted, though some people may experience issues for up to another 24 hours. I was eventually able to contact Marcus, who's now renewed the domain name, though we've still to sort out costs and getting the account transferred to us for future use.

Thankyou all for your support during the last few days; in particular Scarlet, joek, SOTK, CG, and Marcus all notably helped out, and an additional mention should go to my dad for letting us create exilian.wavcott.org.uk as an alias (this will be left in operation).
