Exilian Doctor Who Audioplay
« on: August 02, 2013, 02:33:26 PM »
OK,

I can confirm that I've started planning a script for this. Who would be interested in a) acting but equally importantly b) writing any other scripts (because why not make ALL the episodes!), and most importantly of all c) post-production editing of the sound files?  :)

In terms of recurring parts, there's obviously the Doctor, I make no secret of wanting to nab that myself but am nevertheless very open to other people staking their claim. The companion will be female, and of a species called the Slettarines; generally quite humanoid so banter etc can still occur but will have some more interesting alien traits/abilities too. A second companion, either an android or an Exxilon, is something I'd like to put in but doesn't fit into my script for the first/pilot episode. There will obviously be loads of parts specific to each episode too.  :)
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

I am interested in all three! :)

(whether I can pull all three off is open to conjecture) :P

Like CG, I am open to doing all three. But I would probably be pretty freaking terrible at all of them,
like a bruise that would never go away, but she would cherish it for ever.

I'll act terribly, but I think that the other parts would be much better done by you other, more talented people.

Well my voice is horrible and usually tinged with a hint of despair but I'd love to hear it when it happens :)

I have now the rough plans for an eight episode series.

On the other hand, I have no time to write eight scripts.  :(

I'll voice act!
Script writing and sound editing are sadly a no as I like any skills in either department and I havent been following the Dr Who lore that closely of late
Tis but a scratch...

Still conflicted about how to produce this. The thing is it's probably a trade-off between Exilian involvement and production quality :s

For example, the only people who are likely to know how to do a good production job and might help are the student radio people here in Cam. But if we use them we can't really hoik in voice acting parts from the US so easily. I don't know.  :(

Let's just work with what we've got. I can help out with the production bits.

If there are any aliens with weird voices then I'm up for some weird voice acting.
