SotK's Maps
« on: December 30, 2013, 04:54:04 PM »
In this thread I'll post the maps I make to visualise the fantasy world/continent I've been working on intermittently for some time now.

First up is Isla Venarta in the Early Venartan Era. This is the island that the Venartan refugees landed upon after fleeing their homeland following the as yet unnamed calamity caused by stuff. From here they built an empire spanning a good portion of the continent of Alatra.

I drew another map! This is based around the same area as the village on the western island in the map in the original post, a few years earlier and with more sensible proportions.

Nice work!

Any plans for doing much with the world at the moment? :)

Thanks!

If I was more confident in my writing ability I'd write up some histories of various peoples, but I always struggle with the "what I make doesn't match what I wanted to make" problem. Hopefully sometime I'll get round to it.

Well, I'm sure folk here will be happy to chip in with ideas/tips/advice - and don't worry, nobody as far as I know exactly finds that what they write is quite what was in their head, I certainly don't. :)

I added another tile to this map at last, but haven't taken a good picture.

I've also been drawing a dungeon map for a Pathfinder campaign I'm planning, I'll post that when it won't be spoilers for people here.

Sadly the party only managed to get through the first room before it was too late at night to go further, so I still can't post the map because of spoilers!

To be fair, if that bandit wasn't as lucky as he was we might have gotten further.

So the dungeon map isn't quite finished (the dungeon nearly went of the page so I stopped drawing it out), but I have drawn a map of the town the party is in which I like.

Behold, Stonetown!
