An overview of factions & units in the mod :) This will list both current and planned units. Please do discuss the balance of units etc here!

Key to units:
- Units in Release 1 are in green
- Units to be in Release 2 are in yellow
- Planned and uncompleted units are in red


COLONY JUPITER X7

Overview
Jupiter X7 is the code for the human colonisation unit that has landed on the planet of Antares IV. A reasonably lush and earth-like planet, colonisation should have been simple. But this planet seems to have more life on it than most... Suddenly, the Colony commanders are finding themselves at the end of their interplanetary supply lines and desperately trying to muster forces for a large-scale planetary war. Not only the technically advanced Lizardmen but other beasts, aliens, and rebels are standing in the way of the colony, and must be stopped. The temperate valleys below the initial spaceport the humans have constructed provide a good base for farming and city-building, but other parts of the planet will not be so hospitable. The X7 colonists will have to fight across many different regions before they can consider their new hivecity safe.

THE LIZARDMEN OF ANTARES IV

Overview
Once thought to be a myth, at last the rumours of an intelligent species on Antares IV have been confirmed. Nestling in the shadow of a great volcano, a confederation of technologically advanced lizardman tribes has come together in recent years - and just in time, for human invaders are swarming onto the planet in large numbers. The Lizardmen have the advantage of numbers, fielding many more troops, and are tougher than the comparatively feeble humans. Their technology is less effectively adapted to the battlefield, however, being mostly in fields such as transport with bows and spears still common weapons of war. Nevertheless, they have a safe starting point out on an island chain, and they can certainly learn to adapt - the question is, how fast...

Subfaction - Trogs
Overview
Trogs are shuffling, club-armed furballs who are a major native species on Antares IV. Seen as primitive by others, they have a suprisingly sophisticated society run by "greyback" elders, mostly as hunter-gatherers and textile makers living in small fenced settlements. Their numbers and physical strength may be advantages, but they are ill-equipped and will have to fight a hard guerilla war to be able to defeat encroaching armies of aliens and humans with firearms.

Overview
The Browncoats are human rebels opposing the central power of the colonial government. Browncoat revolts are an increasingly common feature of life in the outer colonies, and Antares IV is proving to be no exception.
