Othko97

Vote DD for threats of violence to the council!
I am Othko, He who fell from the highest of places, Lord of That Bit Between High Places and Low Places Through Which One Falls In Transit Between them!

Clockwork

I'll vote DD in support of my nephew. Though young, he has the wisdom of an old man, time will tell if my trust is well placed.

The council said their welcomes and after a little posturing and threats the room fell silent. People spoke in whispers amongst each other, and The Khan disappeared for a while. At the end of the day there was a flurry of accusation, and Dripping D came close to trouble as three of the remaining seven council members voted to lock him up indefinitely. Jubal began these accusations, and so Dripping D cried that he should be locked up instead. However a majority could not be reached, and all lived to see the sun set through the great western window before disappearing off to the various places they were staying.

It is now Night 1. Send me your night actions by around 0000 GMT on Tuesday 13th January.

Gen_Glory

How safe are you all feeling in your beds tonight?
Tis but a scratch...

Son of the King

I have all the night actions, I'll write up the result tomorrow.

Cuddly Khan

(OOC: Going camping tomorrow, will be gone for a week. I think you all know what this means. You may carry on without me.)

He is Jubal the modder, Jubal the wayfarer, Jubal the admin. And he has come to me now, at the turning of the tide.

The councillors were worried on arriving in their bedrooms. They had all asked for guards about the place, but they were few and far between. Most of them settled down to sleep, but the spiders in the corners of the corridors noticed a shadowy figure making his way towards Jubal's room, looking confident and not at all worried. The figure looked around the corner to see a number of guards keeping watch outside the room. Foiled for now he turned back.

But this shadowy figure was Hamadir Sirilsson, and Hamadir Sirilsson was an assassin. And he was being paid well by the client who had ordered this killing. There had also been threats which he didn't want to see carried out in the event he failed his task. He went outside, and stood in the courtyard looked up at the window of the room of his target. He decided he could probably drop onto the window's edge from the room above. Up he went, and down he leapt. Hamadir carefully prised the window open, and snook inside. Jubal was sat in the corner, reading a book. Hamadir raced across the room as Jubal leapt up and shouted the guards to come inside.

The door burst open too late, Hamadir was climbing back out of the window and Jubal was on the floor with a dagger in his chest.

Jubal (Town) has been killed. He was Lord Ariadir Ikarasson, the son of a famous council leader and warmaiden, Lady Ikara Riosdan. He was a young councillor who people saw as having the potential (and relatives) to climb high before these dark times came.

It is now Day 2. Night will begin around about 22:00 GMT on Thursday 15th January (maybe a bit longer depending on how your discussions are going). You require 4 votes for a lynch.

Jubal

*Coughs and splutters dying breaths as I am discovered, in truly dramatic fashion*

"Avenge... meeee... save our country, my fellows. Save our people. I know you can."

*Collapses*
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

comrade_general

Alas, poor Jubal. I knew him well.

Vote: Khan as he is conveniently going camping right after this murder.

Clockwork

Damn it, I had posted extra guards to his room thinking he would be the target.

Perhaps you knew him too well? vote cg

comrade_general

Whoa, whoa, easy there, Chief. I didn't kill the guy. We know I'm too slow and bulky to get in and out of that window so fast.

You on the other hand... I'm not so sure I can believe that it was you who posted the guards. Or even if you did, maybe you paid them off, or specifically chose some fat guys who would be slow enough to let you get back out through the window in time.

Gen_Glory

who would be foolish enough to do the deed themselves? we are politicians not assassins

clearly it was a contract killer

I'm with CG here funny how a killer gets through the guards you posted
Tis but a scratch...

Clockwork

Family is everything, I would never have done this.
