You think they're cuddly, but I think they're sinister...

All the duck-related posts over the last few days have reminded me of something. About 10 years ago, some friends introduced me to "March of the Sinister Ducks" - it's a short (2 minutes 35s) musical piece, after which you might not ever look at ducks in quite the same way again.

It's been publicised by Neil Gaiman; you can find it on his blog (to download) or on his Tumblr.

I wasn't sure what I'd find in this thread - not least since I was discussing the cuddly/sinister borderline yesterday with regard to tribbles.

(For those who don't know, tribbles are small, furry, adorable creatures in Star Trek who eat a lot and reproduce stupidly fast. So far so cute. However, they look similar to (which is to say both are just balls of fluff) wig-wigs from the Edge Chronicles, which are more or less the same but the whole thing opens up and is just full of very very sharp teeth).
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

Behold the duck.
It does not cluck.
A cluck it lacks.
It quacks.

It is specially fond
Of a puddle or pond.
When it dines or sups,
It bottoms ups.

Speaking of which, for YEARS I assumed the markings on a mute swans beak were its eyes. Then didn't believe it when someone told me until I actually looked properly!
