Here it is, ladies and gentlemen, we have our first REAL Preview! We shall tell you the inspiration behinds these :
The Hivites: I'm still not really sure why it's an archer. Probably some random.
The Philistines: Dagon the great god of the Philistines, commonly pictured as the symbol.
The Israelites: The Lion of Judah, symbol used for generations of Israelites.
The Amorites: Sin the great moon god of the Amorites, Sin's symbol is the crescent moon.
The Girgaarmadilloes: Their name means "Client of Gesh," Gesh being the god of light (sun).
The Canaanites: The Golden Calf, the symbol for Baal, god of the Canaanites.
The Perrizites: The people of the lowlands and farms. The villager is a common example of them.
The Hittites: This eagle was a common artifact found in excavations of the Hittite cities, pointing towards a significance.
The Gibeonites: The wine jar, in excavations of the city of Gibeon 68 wine cellars full of wine jars were dug up. Also when the Gibeonite tricked Joshua into making a peace with them, they carried these jars.
The Jebusites: The walls of Jebus (modern day Jerusalem), the only city of the Jebusites and one of the only walled cities in Canaan.
