Michael awoke after another rough night on the road home he noticed something was odd around the camp, the fire was still going and the watchman was sleeping . As Michael got ready to discipline him a hooded figure strolled into the camp carrying firewood and two mighty warhammers at his waist. Recognising the symbol of sigmar worn around the figures' neck Mick knew this man was no threat and presumed him to be a travelling warrior-priest.
'Good Morning brother, where is your heading?' asked Michael
'Altdorf, I am to claim the imperial throne and become the first Emperor-Lector. But the road is long and treacherous and I am searching for group of faithful sigmarites to accompany me on my task.' replied the Priest
'Well a bunch of faithfuls we are but we are not willing to risk our lives for a cause so hopeless and a man we do not trust.'
'How can I gain yours' and your mens' trust?'
'Well in this trade a trial by fire often works best. A safe passage we can provide you, but to fight your cause not yet.'
'Sigmar Bless You then'
As the rest of the warband slowly awoke, a small group of beastmen encircled the camp hiding just out of sight. Suddenly the priest stopped and slowly untied his warhammers from his belt, realising the danger Mick signalled silently to his right-hand man, Franz, to get himself and his nephews ready for battle. Whilst loading his crossbow, a throwing axe embedded itself into the watchman and three huge beastmen came stampeding out of the forest. One of the beasts charged Egon but was intercepted by a devastating atack from Franz that cleaved the beast in two. Another was felled by deadly accurate crossbow fire from the Jaegers. The final and largest of the beasts charged headlong into Mick who was hard pressed to repell the intial strike but was not so lucky the next time, being beaten to ground by a powerful club. The beast raised its club for the final strike but as the club fell it fell upon an impenetrable shield created by faith, confused by its inability to kill its target the beast did not see the priest approaching from behind. When the beast did notice it was already to late as the priests blessed hammer fell upon the fiends head, crushing it to a bloody pulp.
'You, you saved my life...' said a injured Michael
'Well, so it would appear.' replied the Priest
'Priest what is your name?'
'Wolfgang Ludenhoff, warrior priest of the great god Sigmar.'
'Well Wolfgang you have my trust, and you have my mens trust. And may Sigmar help us in our quest.'

Turn One

Mick's Merry Men forced Jethro's 'Traitors of Hochland' to a voluntary rout, and thankfully recieving no casualties. The Jaegers feel distinctly braver after this latest skirmish. Later on finding an abandoned well, Emil later explored the well and found a small stash of treasure hidden at the bottom. Seeing a distinct like of mobile shooting Mick sought out his old friend, El Dia Don Andar, the wood elf hunter, after recruiting his services I feel this warband is one to fear.

Turn 2:

As the Merry Men rounded a corner in search of loot the keen eyes of El Dia spotted a rival warband of what appeared to consist of pale skinned lizards and rather brutal looking man. Wolfgang quickly recognised him as a threat to his claim of emperor and requested he be taken down at all costs. Locking the man in his sights El Dia advanced thankful for the lack of longrange firepower of the Lizardmen. Wolfgang and Franz led the twins and the SturmVolk over a hill and into the ruins of a building along the right flank, whilst Mick led his loyal Jaegers in to heavy cover where they could take up vantage points of the main lizard advance. El Dia let lose two arrows in quick succesion, one stuck the man in the neck and his body slumped to the ground. The leader of the lizards darted out of sight in an attempt to not share the same fate, and his was followed by his two saurus bodyguards, leaving 5 skinks slowly advancing on the Merry men. Mick fired two bolts at the skinks, stunning one. The Jaegers then finished it off whilst it was on the floor. El Dia then fired at another Skink taking it down with relative ease. Already the Lizards were being decimated, and it was only furthered as the leader decided he would much rather sulk around out of sight whilst his warband was skewered on bolts and arrows. The Skinks let off a few cheeky shots most of which missed wildly but one missing Mick narrowly. As Franz prepared to lead his troops into the assault, Mick struck down another Lizardman, and realising the battle was lost the lizards scarpered.
Mick has improved his agility somewhat after his close encounter with death [Dodge] and El Dia is on the way to becoming one of the greatest archers of the Old World [BS6]. Through training and battlefield experience Emil is becoming a dab hand with a blade [WS3] and Egon has learnt that surviving an attack is often better than to die trying to take a blow [Step-aside]. Also through grim determination and training the SturmVolks are now a mighty opponent to face [S4].
After the discovery of a Smithy the Merry Men came into possesion of 3 Halberds, very handy for battles against tough enemies.
Upon arrival back at camp the Merry Men discovered a mystrious figure was waiting for them, he revealed himself as Devante Emilio [Swashbuckler] the legandary charmer from Estalia, he also revealed that he was in Altdorf to track down a woman of unmatched beauty. Realisng he could be handy in fight [and also being a big softy] Mick quickly hired Devante.

Turn Three:

On the way out of the city, by the ruins of a church, the Merry Men came across the notorious Middenheimers, Simon's Strongbloods. Sensing the presence of a foul spellcaster amongst their ranks, Wolfgang requested that he be taken down, setting him as his target El Dia advanced fearlessly straight towards the strongbloods. Mick and his Jaegers set up behind a wall for cover and a good position for firing, Franz led his nephews and Wolfgang down the left flank to try and ambush the Middenheimers from behind some buildings and Devante took the lone SturmVolk down the right flank to try and get behind the Strongbloods. The first part of the battle saw much movement as the Merry Men got into position but El Dia quickly let loose two arrows into a hapless youngblood's jugulum, needless to say he didnt get up from that. The Jaegers then shot only managing to stun a warrior, Mick doing better by taking a warrior out of action. El Dia now had a clear shot at his target and swiftly taking him down. As Devante approached the base of a small hill a few men appeared at the top and whilst diving into cover Devante fired his pistol but only managing to knock one down. Mick fired again but failed to hit anybody, but the Jaegers did better and took down another warrior. Seeing they were now outflanked and low on men the Strongbloods fled quickly, recovering their two warriors but leaving the dead youngblood and mage behind for our capture.
Upon interrogation the mage revealed himself to be Ivan the Accursed and a Tome of Magic was discovered in his possesion, after seizing the unholy manuscript Ivan was cast back to his followers.
Afterwards another Smithy was discovered but this one had been well looted and only a sword could be found.
The Tome was sold for 100gc making the Merry Men one of the richest warbands around Altdorf.
El Dia has now become even more deadly with a bow [BS7!!] and a bounty of
