I felt we needed one.

The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

I ate some just now in a dish labelled "spicy Italian". It was labelled by me.

Tonight I plan to eat more broccoli. Brassica 4 Life, yo.

I approve of this topic: broccoli is good.

Since we've had a photo of conventional broccoli, I feel we should also have one of fractal broccoli, otherwise known as Romanesco broccoli - an unexpected convergence of maths and brassicas:

I think I prefer Romanesco as food, as well as it being the prettier form :)

I've never actually eaten it; the descriptions on the pages I linked to sound tempting.

I had no idea it existed until I found some in my local supermarket, about 18 months ago. My immediate response was pretty much "Wow! Fractal broccoli! :D ". If it didn't exist, somebody should invent it.

I love broccoli. When I was a child I used to pretend to be a giant eating trees.
As you do.

I wonder if many people have actually made food dioramas using broccoli trees...

There's a UK food distribution company (3663 until recently, now Bidvest) that has a very pretty rural scene on the side of its lorries, with broccoli "trees" and everything else made from food too.

There's a nice picture of one at the top of this article.

I tried making fried khachpuri today. I fried it too hot so it didn't go very well, but I might try it again sometime!

Deep fried broccoli shall be attempted once weight is no longer being cut. Looks amazeballs.
