I have started a new exercise system: political leaflet delivery! This obviously involves lots of walking, but also all sorts of positions to get at letterboxes (bending, reaching up, squatting down) and often noticeable physical effort in holding the flap(s) open while getting the leaflet inside. I get to do this at least weekly until the EU referendum

Meanwhile I'm teaching (sort of) undergrads for the first time ever tomorrow - I've been asked to cover the last session of a Tolkien course run by the guy who teaches me Greek. So hopefully that will go well! Spent this evening testing a risk style boardgame made by Francisco, one of the PhD Byzantinists, which was fun - my Thessalonians carved out a pretty good empire in the Aegean

Some stats for this evening:
- 2.5 hours' almost continuous walking
- total distance probably 4-5 miles
- 262 leaflets delivered
- all fingers intact, despite several highly-sprung letterbox flaps, and one highly-strung dog

Well to be fair I always type the naughty words on here and the filter just changes them so I wouldn't really have a reason to develop this habit.
Edit: Also I like bourbon and you could put it in your tea.
