Nice to have some Exilians visiting my country for a change. :)

Jubal

I ought to get round to that sometime. Will have to see how I'm doing financially next academic year/what my work situation ends up being.

I should probably post an update here.

First, apologies that I haven't been posting much for several weeks - volunteer activities for the LibDems have eaten most of my free time. It's all too easy to say Yes to another batch of leaflet deliveries...

Second, I am going to be away for quite a lot of the next two weeks:
- Fri 29 April - Tue 3 May: travelling in Germany
- Wed 4 & Thu 5 May: back in the UK, but largely doing LibDem stuff for the local elections on the Thursday
- Fri 6 - Tue 10 May: travelling in Spain

I might not be terribly active even after I get back: once the local election campaign is over, the local LibDems will be working hard as part of the "Remain" campaign for the UK's EU referendum.

And here I go on another holiday:
Thu 26 May: fly to Cologne
Fri 27 May: train to Nuremberg
Sat 28 & Sun 29 May: enthusiast train trips around Nuremberg
Mon 30 May: train to Vienna
Tue 31 May: train to Zagreb (Croatia) via Budapest (long way round, just because I can!)
Wed 1 June: Zagreb area
Thu 2 June: train to Osijek
Fri 3 June: fly home

Do you think you could smuggle me into your luggage for your next trip?

Glaurung

Maybe. We might need to put you in "hibernate" mode for the duration, and we'd probably need to detach your limbs for more efficient packing. Your limbs do detach (and re-attach, of course), don't they?

Pentagathus

I've lost my construction manual I'm afraid, but still there's one way to find out.

Jubal

What could go wrong, after all? :)

I'm likely to be low-access until Monday evening, doing a trip round East Anglia.

Staffers: If anyone else has time to put a couple things out on the twitter to cover for me, that would be awesome. I need to schedule a whole bunch more tweets but not had time.

East Anglia best Anglia.

comrade_general

Are there other Anglias?

Glaurung

Not now, and not for a long time. However, there seems to have been a brief period when there was a "Middle Anglia"; and I think that the area that might logically have been "West Anglia" actually turned into the Anglo-Saxon kingdom called Mercia. But I'm not sure - Dark Ages Anglo-Saxon history is complicated...

Jubal

I'm back in Birmingham, not that I really want to be :/
