Another thread started because I wasn't sure which existing one this should go in!

I read this really interesting article about garlic, and the fact that commercially grown garlic can't produce proper seeds, and what people are doing to try and get it to seed and seeing where that goes experimentally:

In yay for biology today, it turns out we actually maybe all have two brains? US research suggests our forebrain and hindbrain developed separately in evolution terms then just got squished into the same place physically. And having worked that out they may now be able to produce hindbrain neurons from stem cells, something which we've struggled with before and might accelerate a bunch of research into certain brain conditions.
