In spite of their admirable defiance in the belief that they could defy the Ptolemaic State, the Egyptian rebels thought they could get away by dropping their farming tools and picking up their weapons, decreasing the productivity of Alexandria and increasing the internal political turmoil in the already troubled Ptolemaic court. However, they proved to be no match to the better led Ptolemaic Reserve Army, as the elements of the Rebel army were dispersed and disorganized by the levi Machimoi, held in place by the veteran Judaean Thureophoroi, and finally surprised by the lighter Peltastai, who emerged from the very same crops that the rebels had tended, until they dared to break their oath to the Pharaoh....

Ironically, the few surviving prisoners were tasked the next day with the additional chore of spreading the remains of their rebellious comrades, whose bodies would increase the productivity of the egyptian fields, feeding the ever growing Ptolemaic War machine.

(I felt the urge to add a little story behind it... the pic felt rather lonely there I'm completely aware that the extra text doesn't add any extra points or anything)
