Workshop: Unit Textures

So we are going to need a few new textures made, not only for the first release, but for the next release as well.

For the first release, these units need new skins since they are still vanilla. They are all for the Rebels.
Roman Peasants
Egyptian Peasants
Town Watch
Hastati
Druids
Militia Hoplites
Skirmishers (Egyptian)
Bowmen
Velites
Long Shield Cavalry

These units have new skins but they mimic another faction's texture. They just need a new shade of color to be distinguished.
Peltasts (Greek)
Heavy Peltasts
Numdian Javelinmen
Numidian Cavalry

The Numidian Javelinmen and Numdian Cavalry share the same texture.

If anyone can do this, please let me know!

I can give them a shirt, but it has to be real dark colored, oe else the the muscle texture will show. Tried the linothorax. Some armor pieces wouldn't show cause militia texture is assigned (at least for vanilla) to a 3d model that has no armor. So even if I paste upon it, it won't look good. I don't know if you can work any magic on that. What you see above is most of what I know how to do.

Hm, who knew skinning would be so complicated , I will say though, those are some damn spiffy shields . You know do we really need Rebel Militia Hoplites to have shirts? I mean just touch up the tunic and use that fancy shield and boom a unit that doesn't look as vanilla, besides I think I read somewhere that hoplites didn't often wear armor and since these guys are militia we could use that as an excuse, but damn that is a nice shield

Thanks. The shields are not my creations, and yes they are great. Ahowl11 asked me to put shirt and armor on them, but I can only do the shirt (for the above reason). To tell you the truth, I don't like the shirt either for the militia hoplites, but it's not my mod. I can always make my own one day, but it will be for vanilla RTW. Nothing fancy.

Well, all I have done is the past is copied the vanilla hoplites mid section, and pasted it over the militia hoplites mid section. It doesn't really effect anything either. Try it out

I tried to give the armor. I copied it from Greek militia to Slave militia. The result was invisible Slave militia! Very strange! Are we good with these militia?

Yeah sure, why not. I've already done an Alexander TW retexture - Macedonians only, nothing too fancy again. I just never liked vanilla Macedonians being all purple.
