Is one of the reasons for the blacksmith option so you can make your own rider sword like Eragon made Brisingr?

YOu would have to have an item entry for each different look fo sword, but you could do it as a select the parts thing from the user's POV.
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...
