You have one wish. What do you wish for, why, and would it REALLY be a good thing?
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

Cuddly Khan

I would wish for 3 more wishes. So i can get even more wishes to wish for anything any time.

He is Jubal the modder, Jubal the wayfarer, Jubal the admin. And he has come to me now, at the turning of the tide.

Jubal

Cheater :P

OK, what would you use some of your silly number of wishes on?
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

Silver Wolf

I wish I was 8 cm taller... Nothing else...

Why 8cm?

I could do with a few extra inches of height myself, I'm only 5 foot six, but I'd feel bad using a wish to do something like that when there are so many good things that one could do for other people... and besides, there are advantages to being short.  :)

Well I know it's selfish, but that's the only thing I need right now...

I'm 172 cm tall, and those 8 cm would make me 180 ... :D

What. the. hell. is. a. cm!? j/k :P

I would wish for money, of course, and would that make me happy? Absolutely. To be free to explore the world and just live life the way you want never worrying about acquiring currency would make anyone happy.

Jubal

It's surprising how many millionaires have become depressed, lost it all, committed suicide, etc, really.

Those are the ones who buy a big mansion full of crap and sit in it feeling empty inside, there are plenty of happy rich bastards too.

I agree. Money doesn't make happiness, but it sure helps a lot. What makes you happy is not the actual money, per se, but the fact that money isn't a concern any more. One of the most depressing things in life is the constant struggle to make money in order to get anywhere - take that away and it gives you freedom to do what you want without having to think about the expense. I would love to travel around the world, visit so many places, do so many things or even besides that, I want to emigrate at some point, and I'd need a little bit of cash in place for that.

However, one of the arguments against this is that the quest to attain money is what places value on what you buy with it. If money wasn't an issue, you might not value anything in quite the same way anymore. So, I wouldn't wish for a huge or nigh-unlimited sum of money, nothing that would affect my worldview. Right now, I'd just wish for

There's also a problem with having 90 billion dollars/pounds.

That would actually just decrease the value of money massively. A cash injection of that size would cause a hyperinflation problem similar to depression era Germany. You would singlehandedly screw the WHOLE economy.

That's true, but you could imagine it as a case of 'I wish a dying billionaire would randomly leave me his entire estate' if you wanted to make it a feasible option.
