I usually sit in the corner with a book. But my sample size is pretty small since I only went to about 4 or 5 in the last 12 months, and 2 of those were mine.

Of course, the other option is get pissed and then sit indimidatingly close to someone, making cocktails with every substance available and explaining in flowing prose my plans to colonise mars with organic staplers or some such genius.
