I'd say a falchion or some other classy blade.
Scum of the highest degree and don't let charitable citizens tell you otherwise.

@Silver: I'd love to get a replica of Anduril but getting one that can actually be used is ridiculously difficult.

@Ladyhawk: Another? :D We shall see.

@NightAngel: A falchion's classy? :P  Just kidding but in all honesty, the majority of falchions feel like a sort of glorified axe. That being said, it's an uncommon weapon to find in a collection.

Personal opinion though, I like the look of the shashka. Nice and sleek lines. I'm a little worried that a lot of the weight will be in the blade though because the hilt is so light and small.

What do we think defines a weapon as classy, out of interest?
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

Exactly the same (except the scabbard which is only a bit different), probably dated the same.

@SotK: Exactly. ;)

@Silver: That's not a bad blade there at all mate. How does she handle?

@Jubal: A classy weapon? For starters a sword, not an axe or a mace and especially not a gun. *shiver* :P Anyway, nice lines, fairly long, somewhat fast. That's my definition anyway. ;)

Now if I had the money I'd go get myself something like this. http://www.albion-swords.com/swords/albion/nextgen/sword-medieval-irish-bastard-xix.htm

She's well balanced, but still a bit too heavy and clumsy for use on foot. I mean it's fine, but a shorter sabre would be a lot faster and easier to handle. It's basically like a one edged one handed longsword. But if you somehow manage to squeeze both hands into the handle (Which I can because my palms aren't really wide) then it gets epic... Almost like a claymore. :D

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Yeah Albion swords tend to be a bit on the pricy side. That being said, I've yet to find a bad thing about them and that sword there is a special edition one.

Anything handcrafted really well, particularly if it's smithing, is going to cost a premium because so few people have that kind of skill nowadays I guess.

couple of weeks ago at a church fate someone was selling (for reasonable prices) 3 full size metal swords (2 were movie prop/LARP the other was a cavalry sabre) was going to get one but then my girlfriend pointed out the difficulties of carrying it home with no scabbard...
Tis but a scratch...
