Ooooh, that's right! I had forgotten that deal. Gotta hate big corporations that try to get their evil hands in the wonderful world of gaming. For me, EA has ruined so many great franchises...

I absolutely loathe EA. "Oh, here's a game. Actually, we only sold you half a game there, you have to pay for and download the rest as DLC. Oh, and don't expect us to stop there, we'll add more DLC and 2Gb updates every other week until your hard drive is so clogged you physically cannot fit another save game on there." Then there's also their "Oh, you bought a PREOWNED game? well, I guess now we aren't stealing any money which should go to the actual developers, so lets make you pay additional money for an 'online pass' or else you won't be able to actually play a key part of the game." I sound a little bitter, but I think there's reason enough there...

Ever tried playing new ubisoft games offline? To actualy start the game to play it offline you need to be online to get past the drm. So playing on laptop with no net is imposible cause you can't get past their protection.

I absolutely loathe EA. [snip]
I fell much the same way about the Apple brand.

Apple make some good quality products, but then charge WAY too much for them and are close to a 1984 government with the restrictions they put on usage. They also seem too fond of patent lawsuits at the moment. :P

They can't help it, they're only French.

Well, they wasted so much money on their protection sistem and it was hacked in like 10 days. Now they keep forcing it everywhere even though it's useless. It just makes people who actualy bought the game have hard time playing it. It's even worse with M&M heroes 6. You need to be online to get your hand on some artifacts so singleplayer game is harder if played offline. I like ubisoft and their games, but things like that just kill the gameplay. They kinda made a mso (masive SINGLEplayer online) which is imho ridiculous.
