Don't fancy actually participating but want to help the games along? Fascinated by poetry and writing and art? Judging could be for you!

Judges will be given some events (number depending on how many judges we have!) for which it is their job to judge the entries. Judges may not participate in the teams, and may also be called upon as a final port of call in disputes over refereeing decisions. Clearly, the judges will be vital to the games running smoothly, and so we'd love to see you with the judges. To sign up, just put your name here along with any particular judged events you either really do or really don't want to judge (see the events & notes thread for details).

This is indeed the case, because judges have to not have a team in order to preserve their independence.

If it turns out to be a real problem we'll implement double-blind judging but that would be a pain in the bum. I'm hoping we'll have enough volunteers on this basis anyway.
