I was wondering, what are the requirements for this game. Looking at the screenshots it looks as though it may kill my laptop...

You'll be pleasantly surprised, methinks. It's surprisingly lightwieght due to the lack of unrealistic mass explosions and naffness.

The trial (up to level 8) is free for downlaod off the Taleworlds website.

That has all features in the full version, but you can only go up to day 30 or level 8, whichever you reach sooner.

Lol 2 hours later...

I changed mirrors after like 10 minutes because i had a 1.4kb/s download speed on the taleworlds mirror <_< . I'll install and play tomorrow, I may never return from its apparent addiction lol.

It runs! Without lag! I love it!

Or I would... But i appear to have a corrupted install or something... Half of the textures are broken, for example on the riding tutorial the ground had a water-ish texture on it, nothing like ground...

Um... reinstalling, reinstalling, or reinstalling seem to be the best options here sadly.

Is there any way to keep a character after a reinstall?

there is a quick fix on the forums for that problem,

Blue coloured rocks, buildings etc
Affects certain cards, but is incredibly easy to resolve:

1. Open the rgl_config file in notepad, or go into the configure screen of Mount & Blade
2. In the config file, look for the no_dot3_bumpmap line and set it to 1. In the options, simply uncheck the box next to "use bump mapping"

I've fixed the problem now

. And I love this game. It shall be purchased after christmas, or sooner money and parents allowing :lol: .
