Looks great. Could be used in anything you want right away...

But if you're looking to somehow improve it...
I'd add a bit more contrast between the wooden planks to make the seams and wood grain pop out a bit.
Add a bit of grime in those seams, around the metal rim and the central part.
Some shadows to separate the edges of metal surfaces from wood and you'll have a top-notch shield.

Moved up to the Conservatoire proper as this is experimental rather than creating final pieces for release & use.
