About an hour ago I had an idea to start a new RPG based on The Hill RPG that finished a year and a bit ago. Than I also realized that I hadn't seen anyone post here for a very long time. I've gone ahead and unstickied and locked the threads that I think need to be (Sorry if I overstepped my privileges).

My idea is to have an RPG that is a "move one space one turn" type game like The Hill RPG. But this time it will be set in a space station. My idea is to have people in a space station there for some reason of their own, some people to find out what happened to it, others to salvage it's equipment or were there to start off with etc. The basic plan is to have a 2 story map with rooms and corridors numbering about 100 on each. You can move two blocks each turn and search the block you're in for anything that you can use (Bandages, improvised weapons etc.). In specific rooms you can find stuff associated with those rooms. There will also be events in some rooms, such as a button that shuts off the power or maybe a place on the second floor that you may fall through. There are other stuff to flesh out and such but they are the basics.

Now, the purpose isn't to be the last person or team left but to finish an objecting that relates to your character, if you are a scavenger than you may want to kill everyone else so that you can have everything to yourself, you may team up if you want to but keep in mind that the other person may not be who they say they are. the game will be played mostly through PM via me so that you can send me your actions without giving away your position to others. You will have to find each other. If you can see each other than you can talk to each other, but someone may overhear.

No one will know who each other are, you will have to find out in game. You also have no obligation to tell anyone who you are and what you're doing there. I will tell you what equipment you start with so that everyone starts evenly. Some people may be able to do stuff on the map that other's can't depending on what they choose to be.

Now, this is all just a rough idea that came to mind very recently so I haven't fleshed it out properly yet. Please tell me if you're interested and what you think of my ideas or if you have any other ideas of your own to add.

People could at least say that they're not interested. -_-

Sounds interesting but it might take too long for me to remain interested in what is going on.

Cuddly Khan

Lets simplify it, no mechanics, no map, no PMs. Just a normal, fun, Roleplay? Who would be interested in that?

No actually I am interested, Khan.

Cuddly Khan

I still think it should be simplified though. :P What do you think? Any ideas?

Not having any experience with this kind of thing I doubt I can have much constructive input.

Cuddly Khan

I think I'll take the ideas from Colossus' roleplay. A simple character sheet with a lot of freedom to do what you want.

But then we'll have two running at once and I'll get confused :(

Ok, that's probably for the best, more time for development :)

Cuddly Khan

Hahaha! Yeah, if I get around to it. :P

Maybe run a mafia in the meantime? A setup like 5/2 no power roles or dethy that we can do with relatively few people might work.
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...
