I think it was intended to say "welcome to Exilian, and to the Croatian (language) thread". But I used Google Translate, so it might have ended up as "your father was a hamster and your mother smells of gooseberries" :( I should have asked you in the first place, but I think you weren't around much then. If you can provide a correct Croatian version, I'll happily update my post.

Thread doesn't translate well in Croatian. It's mostly translated as "theme" on Croatian forums.
I've tried to keep the sentence as similar to yours as I could.
