Not sure if many people here drive, but if you do, what do you drive?
What cars would you like to drive?
What cars do you absolutely loathe?
Discuss, and argue, and complain!

I like old school things.

Jubal

Not as old school as me, I use "feet". And occasionally trains.  :P

(I should really really learn to drive)

I use feet too, when I push on the pedals. :)

I drive when required to do so. That pretty much comes down to moving house, borrowing a car when visiting my parents, and taking the wheel when out hawking.

Glaurung

I don't drive; I've never got closer to driving than lessons and a series of failed tests (this was before the theory test was introduced in the UK). Happily, I live somewhere where I can cope without a car.

Odd fact: in terms of different vehicles (rather number of occasions), I have driven more trains than cars.

I have no opinions on most individual types of car - they're all just boxes on wheels for me.

Flamekebab

I hope to one day have an electric car. I can't be bothered with all this fuel tedium.

In Soviet Russia car drives you!

I drive a 15-y/o gold/beige Hyundai Accent. It's the oldest old man car I have ever seen. But hey, it's cheap and reliable.

I really want to pass my motorbike test(s) though. That'd be awesome.

Clockwork

Motorbikes are great, really cost effective as well. I pay 1/8 of insurance as a mate who got his car when I had my first bike and it does 250 miles on £20 fuel.

I just really want cross-country train ticket prices to go down, I'm overspending quite concerningly by travelling too much at the moment, and that's with a railcard. And the service is crap considering; I often don't get anywhere to sit on the bloody trains.

I really like cars, which is why I recently got a good price on this (Mazda MX5 for those who don't know_
-I must admit, I didn't entirely pay for it myself - I was browsing around for a cheap little hatchback and I happened to see an MX5 for a really good price. I mentioned it to my dad, and we got into a conversation about how I used to always jokingly say we should get an MX5 instead of whatever car we were buying... anyway, long story short he paid half the price of my car... (it was hard to even get him to that point, he wanted to just buy me it)
But, I'm not complaining, but I'm definitely not accepting any more major gifts from him - he refuses to buy his own dream car, a Porsche 911, even after he's had a good job for 30 years and now retired.

Anyway, the moral of the story is that my dad is the best human being on the entire portugaling planet

Anyway, so I adore it, it's my dream car and people at uni have been pretty cool about it.

I love the car I learnt to drive in as well - one of these
