OK, this is the list of all the things I just did.

  • I added italicised English for everyone's job titles under their official title name
  • I removed the weird blobby squares that nobody knew what they were
  • I renamed all the postcount groups to " " and removed their weird blobby squares too so those don't show up either.

Do people think this is OK/looks better/looks worse?

Clockwork

Once you realize what a joke everything is, being the Comedian is the only thing that makes sense.

Jubal

I've given all the citizen variants, including the honorary ranks, "voting member" as the description, which I think is reasonable.

Slight hiccup: Penty doesn't have an italic English title, and he does still have a square blob. I suspect the "King of the Wibulnibs" group is overriding everything else that might apply.

EDIT:
And Flamekebab as a local moderator in the Fox Box sub-forum still gets square blobs too.

Jubal

Fixed the blobs. I'm not sure one really can explain being King of the Wibulnibs in neat italicised form, and I'm happy to leave Penty as an anomaly on that front.

I'm sure there's a joke to be made here about it not being proper to have your blobs on public display anyway, but I can't work out how to formulate it quite right. :P

Just a thought, is it possible to have it so the italicized description appears when you hover your mouse over the official job title? As they are they seem too far separated, new members might not associate the Megadux and Executive officer as being the same thing, as they look like separate titles. Thoughts?

Also, it there an possible alternate plain English description for the Patrikios other than just Voting Member, to distinguish them between normal citizens?

On point a) I think we could possibly hypothetically do that, but if it's as a mouseover new people will never see it which defeats the point. I guess we could put the description in brackets to make it clear it's not separate, but that might look kind of clunky.

Regarding b) I considered that, but I can't think of a better one that doesn't either a) make you sound like you have an actual office or b) sound really odd. If you come up with anything do let me know though.

How about... Awesome Person. ;D

Seriously though, wouldn't Prestigious Member work fine? That's pretty much all it is anyway.

What about Megas Domestikos? Very Prestigious Person? But we also want to make clear that they are citizens / voting members too...

Cuddly Khan

Very Prestigious Voting Person and Prestigious Voting Person? :P
