Guys how do you initiate banterous chat with strangers online? Preferably without seeming weird, I'm trying to use tinder again at the moment but small talk online is just so tedious.

Invite them to Exilian :P

More seriously, no idea. I actually tried tinder at one point but basically got no matches and the few I did get didn't bother talking so I gave up.

I just don't know how to handle online communication.
And I'm actually a social butterfly.

Ah armadillo I matched with a girl in my class and we just realised it. Urgh, I try and avoid talking to anyone in my lectures as much as possible so this could be awkward.
Females cowman, females of varying types, but largely students since there are so many students here and students tend to be sluttier than the rest of the population.
Also just sticking to the bare minimum of small talk before doing if they want to meet in meatspace seems to be working. I'm not calling it meatspace though in case they think it's some weird euphemism.

It is a weird euphemism. It's a weird euphemism for reality.

Or what we believe to be reality. But it's not sexual, which is what I meant by weird.

Also sexual is not weird!

And then you make the visit to the butcher shop.
(that was a weird sexual euphemism)

Well, depends on how good the pub is, one suspects.

Well, you'd better make sure you get down to Cambridge for the convention in order to ensure the quality of the pub afterwards :P

Is it just me who finds the American tendency to use Sr. and Jr. as actual parts of people's names kind of adorably odd and quaint? It still seems to be very much a thing and I'm not sure why.
