Eh, my hand pain was doing better for a few days but it's now flared up again But I have some new plants and hit a good milestone on my book writing project, so that's good I guess.

In UK news, today it has been Too Hot.

We're starting to hit full-on Too Hot weather here in Vienna too, after what's mostly been an unusually cloudy and wet summer so far.

I'm starting work again next week At least I assume I am, though I haven't actually recieved official confirmation that the paperwork has been sorted for it yet...

Fortunately for me (and, I suspect, much of the UK), the Too Hot has gone away again. Yesterday the temperature was up to at least 32C (90F), and with a forecast of 34C (94F) - today it's a much more comfortable 24C (76F). Something's not right when I have to close the windows because the quite vigorous breeze coming in is noticeably hotter than the air inside

As ever my flat is at least fairly consistent in temperature, if not in humidity or general functionality!

I'm planning on venturing out to a medieval market in the morning, so hopefully I will manage not to totally fry at that. I suspect it'll be quite a quiet event overall, and it's at Castle Liechtenstein just south of Vienna which I've not been to before (the historic seat of the family that later ruled the eponymous Alpine country or something like that, I think).
