Dragon Rider ranks?

In the book Dragon Riders had a sort of "ranking" system although it wasn't with names or anything like that. Could this be implemented in quests? So you start out as a Novice rider with just your dragon and minor magic, then you have to do quests to unlock the quest for a rider sword/more powerful spells.

Do you know how you get your egg. Well i was thinking there could be another egg of the opposite sex to your dragon then they mate and have eggs and then you travel around villages for people who are linked to the dragons and after a couple of hundred years you could make a training school for riders. Or there could be a secret horde of stashed eggs which you must find. Either way you could start a school and have the ranks there.

A couple hundred years? I seriously doubt people would waste ten or twelve years playing the Eragon mod. :p

Whow! Sounds a bit extreme, doesn't it? I mean, we aim to be as accurate to the book as possible, and as Oromis says, the Era of Dragons is over. Eragon is destined to sail away from Alaga

This deosn't have to go like the books though.

Timperiods don't matter really, nobody will play it for a decade and nobody will notcie if six decades of stuff happens in as many weeks. It does in vanilla M&B all the time.

Yes, at the rate that Calradia spawns new armies there must be a lack of "protection"

well.... how about   " build  a Rider academy" as option on  your town. when finished, you can recruit 1 rider companion per week.
only companions not troops, so you can level-up  'em , equip 'em, and then, later, you can say " i want you to  ride alone"  and he leaves the party, joins an empire and goes by his side in the land.

Now i think there's only gonna be 4 riders. You, Eragon, Murtagh and Galbatorix

and if you defeat galbatorix,  he has still 1 egg. (even, if you defeat him, murtagh is free from him, and can join you.. spahira and spine... ^_^)

lol.... well, i live in spain, so... the dragon for me is "espina"... like the roses "spine".
