Since I asked for this enclave to be created I should put something in it.  :D

Post links to and discuss fan films. Here are a few recent, large scale productions:

The Hunt for Gollum
The great events of the war of the ring are about to unfold and the priority for Strider and Gandalf is to keep the Ring secret. Sauron is preparing to unleash his armies and Gollum is creeping around Middle Earth with crucial knowledge of the Ring's location. He must be found.

Born of Hope (coming this Fall)
A scattered people, the descendants of storied sea-kings of the ancient West, struggle to survive in a lonely wilderness as a dark force relentlessly bends its will toward their destruction. Yet amidst these valiant, desperate people, hope remains. A royal house endures unbroken from father to son.

Reign of the Fallen
In the times since great wars laid waste to Prias, its people have learned to embrace a simple life, away from the perils of technology and war. As the mighty Sith army spreads across the galaxy, subjugating every planet in its path, all the people of Prias can do is wait, their world protected by an energy shield held in place by ancient towers. While the people wait in fear, one Jedi trained by Master Oram Bren will be chosen to be the future leader of Prias, a title decided by a vote of the entire population of the planet. But little do they know that one Jedi's dark secret could spell their doom.

Silver Wolf

I have head for the first one ... I just never had time to watch it

It is pretty neat, a nice little "filler" for The Fellowship. Oh, and its only 30 mins. so give it a go.  ;)

Here's another Star Wars one, though I haven't seen it.

Star Wars: Revelations
Seers once shaped the path of the Jedi Order. But their visions grew unreliable and the Jedi came to distrust those with the ability. Seers hid their visions or left the Order forever. In the wake of the Temple's destruction a power struggle has emerged between Darth Vader, the Dark Lord of the Sith, and Zhanna, the Emperor's Hand. Each seek to eliminate the last of the Jedi and gain the Emperor's favor. Caught between them is one woman who cannot deny the truth of her visions as all race to possess an ancient Jedi secret.

I must say I was completely dissatisfied with Born of Hope.

Jubal

I've always wanted to make a film of something or other. :P
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

I bought myself a nice little camera just recently, all you need is a plane ticket (probably costing the same as this beast).  :D

Jubal

Now THAT is a camera.
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

lordryan756

Hopit

born of hope is out

comrade_general

It's been out for a while, and I think it is terrible. lol

Hopit

I watched it about 16 mins when I get tired of that woman actor and stopped it there (1 who had crush at arathorn (not the dark haired)

comrade_general

Indeed. No offence to women in general, but this film was terrible because a woman made it.

we would be lucky if someone from that movie would get lost here..

Jubal

Having (finally) seen Born of Hope, I actually liked it.  :P

Gilraen got a bit tiring, but the fight scenes were done well and the troll was pretty cool.
